Lara Wasserlein

Founder & President

Lara Wasserlein

Lara Wasserlein is the founder and president of the Crown Up Foundation, where her greatest passion is helping women discover the strength, beauty, and purpose that already exists within them. She believes that when women support one another instead of competing, incredible things happen. Through Crown Up, Lara is creating a welcoming community where women from every background can connect, encourage one another, build meaningful friendships, and confidently step into their true potential.

Known professionally as Viva Wonder Woman, Lara is an award winning costume designer, professional cosplayer, motivational speaker, published author, nonprofit founder, and occasional mermaid whose motto is, "Everything is Better in Costume!" She has designed and sold thousands of costumes in more than 14 countries while maintaining a perfect 5 star rating across more than 4,000 reviews. Lara has modeled for official DC Comics and Warner Bros. artwork, has her own collectible Pop! figure, and now specializes in creating elaborate medieval and Renaissance gowns.

Above all, Lara believes confidence grows through connection. Whether she's creating a costume, hosting an event, or bringing women together, her mission is to remind every woman that she is worthy of wearing her own crown.
